With every table full, Mr Frost said he was relieved that the end had come so he could enjoy time with his family, but added he would, without a doubt, miss every customer and every member of staff.

‘I am relieved personally, as I am ready to stop working and spend time with my son, Charlie, and my partner. We have a two-week holiday to Mexico at the start of November, so we are going to have a great family time away,’ he said.

‘I have been here for 20 years now, and of course I have loved it immensely, but I won’t miss the high pressure and the hours. I decided it was time to move on, and I am going to use the time I will have now to enjoy myself.’

Regulars of the restaurant, the Branquets, Mayors, and Le Poidevin families, said they all greatly enjoyed coming to the restaurant, and would miss it in the future.
