This ranking is based on a score which the TJN said reflects how secretive a jurisdiction is combined with its Global Scale Weight – how big the finance centre is in terms of the financial services offered to non-residents.
'The Financial Secrecy Index ranks every jurisdiction according to its actual contribution to harmful financial secrecy globally,' said the TJN.
Switzerland is number one, with the USA second and Cayman Islands third.
Jersey is in 18th place.
