Princess Royal to visit church and lighthouses
PRINCESS Anne will visit Torteval Church and Bailiwick lighthouses when she travels to the Bailiwick next month.
The Princess Royal will start her trip on Wednesday 18 July with a visit to Torteval Church, where she will see the recent restoration work and commemorate its bicentenary.
The princess will meet parish officials and see a series of outdoor displays that tell the story of rural and historic Guernsey.
She will then go on to visit Point Robert lighthouse, on the north-east coast of Sark, before travelling to Les Casquets, off Alderney, to visit a team of engineers working on the station.
The Princess Royal is Master of Trinity House, which was founded in 1514 by Royal Charter and now maintains more than 60 lighthouses around England, Wales, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar.
