Free regular delivery of Press for any new customer over-65
THE threat of the coronavirus means that many elderly and vulnerable islanders are currently being advised to limit their social contacts.
That can make it difficult to get to their usual retail outlet for items, including the Guernsey Press newspaper. The Guernsey Press alongside the newsagents are therefore offering free regular delivery of the newspaper to any new customer over the age of 65 for a period of six weeks. All that would need to be paid would be the 80p cover price.
Guernsey Press managing director Mark Lewis said: ‘We know that in these difficult times many islanders are relying on the newspaper to help them understand the health risks and what they should do to keep themselves safe.
‘The Guernsey Press is a huge part of a strong community effort to protect the most vulnerable in our society.
‘We are happy to make this offer and will liaise with the newsagents to make sure that customers who want their Press delivered get it right to their door.’
Many of the newsagents will be happy to help, and any newsagent that is not will have delivery paid for by the Guernsey Press.
If you are used to buying your paper from your local shop, but are now unable to because you are staying indoors, please email newsroom@guernseypress.com or call 240244 from Monday at 8am with your name, number and address and we will ensure that your details go straight to the newsagent in your area.
