War Memorial wreath destroyed

THE WREATH laid by the Bailiff at the war memorial on Liberation Day has been destroyed.

Guernsey Police officers are currently investigating the destruction of the wreath which was placed at the memorial at the top of Smith Street, St Peter Port.

On social media they said: 'We share your outrage about this despicable act.'

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Police on 725111 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
