It features beautiful shots of the Bailiwick taken by our talented photographic team, Sophie Rabey, Adrian Miller and Peter Frankland.

The trio populate the pages of the newspaper, the Guernsey Press website and our social media pages every day with quality pictures and have time out to collate some of their favourite scenic images.

From a snowy loophole tower to the bathing pools in summer and La Coupee in Sark, each month islanders can turn to a new scene in the Bailiwick.

Key dates and bank holidays are highlighted, as well as information about where each image was taken and who was behind the lens.

Those who are signed up to the paid-for subscription service of the Guernsey Press online can still get their free copy of the calendar.

By popping into the Press offices on Braye Road, our staff can confirm their subscription details and will hand over one of the 10,000 calendars which have been printed.

Picture editor Peter Frankland said that, after a challenging year, it was important to remember how lucky we are to live in the Bailiwick and its beauty should be celebrated.

‘This is the second time we have produced a calendar for our readers and last year it proved to be very popular.

‘It’s great that so many people want to send a little piece of Guernsey to family or friends who live elsewhere,’ he said.

‘There were people buying four or five copies of the paper with the calendar to send to loved ones.’

Photographer Sophie Rabey has always enjoyed taking scenic pictures of this island, especially this year.

‘With lockdown and the extra time people spent in Guernsey because of travel restrictions, I think lots of us have used it as an opportunity to explore more than ever,’ she said.

‘It’s great to be able to have this work published as part of a calendar for so many to see. Hopefully everyone will enjoy turning the page to a new image each month.’
