The company used the Albion Victor bus between 1958 and 1979.
What happened to it after that remained a mystery until it was discovered parked in a shed in Bury St Edmunds by Troopers Lodge Motor Services owner James Eastwood.
‘It was heavily vandalised and in a proper sorry state,’ he said. ‘I wanted to assure Guernsey people that it has gone to a good home with us.
‘We plan to have it moved to our workshop in the Cotswolds and restore it to its former glory.’
When the bus is refurbished, it will join TLMS’s range of vintage wedding buses.
Mr Eastwood has appealed to Guernsey bus enthusiasts through Facebook’s Guernsey Days Gone By page hoping to get more information.
‘This bus definitely has a story to tell and we think there might be Guernsey folk who know something about what happened to it.’
Anyone with further information can email Mr Eastwood at tlms328@hotmail.com.
