The damage was caused between 6pm on Saturday 24 April and 1pm the following day.

A Bailiwick Law Enforcement spokesman said the damage had made the popular attraction unsafe for children to play on.

‘It is unacceptable and is causing inconvenience for children and families who would otherwise enjoy the playground,’ he said.

Agriculture, Countryside and Land Management Services is responsible for maintaining the playground and a spokesman said it was saddened by the anti-social act and is working closely with police to catch the perpetrators.
