Case numbers are rising in many parts of the UK currently, as the Delta variant takes hold.

Guernsey Civil Contingencies Authority met this week and have now confirmed it plans to move ahead relaxing border restrictions next week.

However young people aged between 12 and 18 - who are unvaccinated - arriving in the island will have to be tested on arrival.

The CCA will continue to review travel rules every two weeks and has reassured islanders that the probability of a third lockdown or of health services being overwhelmed remained very low.

To be classed as fully vaccinated a person will have to have received two jabs and waited 14 days. Vaccine status letters are being sent out currently.

The CCA will hold its regular live briefing on Friday at 1pm as planned.
