The work took several months and they are now being displayed with a painted soldier at the church in La Grande Rue.
Trefoil Guild member Sue Veillard came up with the idea of knitting poppies with her craft group.
‘We usually have a couple of poppies around but never anything like this,’ she said.
‘I’m very keen that we remember those who died in the wars.
‘We have all got to remember those who have passed – it was such a loss of life to keep us free.’
There are about six people in the craft group, who began the project in the summer months.
‘The idea started in spring but we didn’t really start until during summer, when I spread the patterns around.’
The Trefoil Guild is for anyone aged over 18 and is aimed at people who been involved in Guiding or Scouting. There are two groups in the island.
Sarnia Trefoil Guild chairwoman Kay Harvey said the display would be able to be used for years to come.
‘There are some talented people in among our groups,’ she added.
They said they and other members of the community had lost family members during the First and Second World Wars so it was important to remember them and their sacrifices.
‘Unfortunately conflict is still going on today,’ said Guernsey Trefoil Guild chairwoman Sandra Sarre.
