Tickets are now on sale for viewings and the film, now a year in the making, features a total of 700 local cast members, making it the largest cast ever in Guernsey.

Everybody working on the film has volunteered to do so, and people are excited by the fact it has been filmed and casted entirely locally.

Mr Langlois said he has been greeted with open arms, and the production has really drawn people together.

‘People are really pleased that we are capturing something that can now live on forever.’

Although ticket sales are going well, Mr Langlois aims to sell more tickets more widely across the island, and hopes that those who lived through the Second World War have the opportunity to watch the production.

‘Ticket sales have been going really well, but I would like to spread awareness to wider parts of the island, not just the families of those in the production.’

There will be four evening viewings from Monday 20 to Thursday 23 June at the Sir John Loveridge Hall in Beau Sejour, featuring the largest cinema screen ever in Guernsey.

n Tickets are £7 for adults and £5 for concessions, via Beau Sejour ticket desk or guernseytickets.gg
