Petit Bot cordon after body found by passer-by
A MAN’S body was found near the stream at Petit Bot by a passer-by yesterday morning.
The dead man was identified quickly by police and next of kin informed by the afternoon. He has not been identified publicly.
Police said that they were not treating the death as suspicious.
Officers were on the scene from mid-morning and cordoned off the road from Le Bourg down to the bay. Nobody was beinig allowed through until the road was reopened at 2.30pm.
Police issued a statement later in the afternoon.
‘Earlier today officers attended Petit Bot, following reports of a deceased person from a member of the public.
‘Guernsey Police can now confirm a deceased male was found in the area.
‘Inquiries are ongoing, however the death is not being treated as suspicious.
‘Guernsey Police would like to offer its condolences to the family.’
