Anthony was born with short legs and abnormal hip joints and he has since had two corrective surgeries, but still has reduced mobility. He is the only person in the Channel Islands to be affected by this condition.

He was put forward by Rachael Green, who said: ‘This wonderful young man is such an inspiration to so many.

‘He has a physical disability but will not let anything get in his way, he is so driven and willing to help encourage others.

‘I have known Anthony for a little while and he is smashing any dream he has.’

This summer, Anthony tackled the 5km swim to Herm, which he completed in around one hour and 30 minutes after a multi-faceted training approach involving hitting the gym, pools and the open water.

He decided to partake in the swim to effect change for himself and raise awareness of his condition.
