Red Carnation bought the four-star Duke of Richmond to complement the five-star OGH, which it purchased in 2008.

It has now been sold to Guernsey’s Little Big Group, owners of the Fleur du Jardin, Les Douvres and the Peninsula Hotel, with the deal completed ysterday.

Red Carnation CEO Jonathan Raggett said that the sale would ‘unlock an exciting new chapter for the OGH’.

‘As Guernsey’s first and only five-star hotel, the Old Government House is set for a significant renovation that will elevate its legacy and set a new standard for luxury on the island,’ he said.

‘This strategic investment follows the successful launch of 100 Princes Street in Edinburgh and the upcoming enhancements to The Chesterfield Hotel in Mayfair, further underscoring our commitment to exceptional properties and unparalleled guest experiences.’
