A collision occurred between two cars in the morning at Le Val des Terres, closing the road for just over two hours.
All three emergency services were called just after 11.30am.
Sergeant Jon Walker, who attended the scene, said that the vehicles had been travelling in opposite directions.
‘All the occupants were treated at the scene for shock and minor injuries,’ he said.
‘No one was seriously hurt or needed hospital attention.’
Oils and other fluids from one vehicle leaked onto the road surface and were made safe by the fire service.
Sergeant Walker appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
‘Although we have taken statements from witnesses who observed the crash, we would still ask any other members of the public who witnessed the crash to come forward,’ he said
The road was reopened shortly after 1.30pm after both vehicles has been removed.
The crash was one of three during the course of the day.
There was a single car accident in La Neuve Rue, Castel, shortly after 3pm.
Two cars collided outside the Ship & Crown pub at 10.20pm.
PC Ben Rotherham said the accident occurred after a car leaving the Victoria Pier collided with another driving north along North Esplanade.
Police and the fire service attended but nobody was injured.
Police were able to direct traffic around the damaged vehicles so the town seafront remained open.
It reopened completely just after 11pm after both vehicles had been removed.
