As of late January, more than 60,000 passengers have booked travel between Guernsey, Poole, Portsmouth and St Malo for journeys up to the end of October.

This compares with 45,713 recorded at the same stage in 2025.

The French ferry operator’s contract with the States of Guernsey came into effect last April.

Brittany Ferries chief executive Christophe Mathieu said he was delighted with the strong growth achieved in the first year of operations.

‘These excellent forward-booking figures reflect the effectiveness of our extensive marketing activity in both the UK and France during the quieter months and represent positive news for the tourism industry in the Bailiwick,’ he said.

‘They also demonstrate the growing appeal of Guernsey as a destination and the confidence passengers have in our services as we look ahead to 2026.’
