Steven Balmer, 39, had denied the offences but was found guilty of both, by 7-2 and 6-3 majority decisions, after a trial that had lasted for a week in the Royal Court.
He was called to the Guernsey Bar in 2023 and had previously represented clients in court who were facing criminal charges.
The incident took place at The Hook during an evening in March last year.
Balmer and the two complainants had been sitting at the same table as part of the same group before the offences were committed.
CCTV was shown to the court which pictured the defendant getting up from his seat and approaching the two women, who at that point were standing at the bar, from behind, and touching each of them on the bottom.
The trial was told how Balmer had made comments to both women about their appearances and physiques during that evening.
He admitted asking one if she was looking fit because she was planning on cheating on her husband, but said later that he had only been joking.
One of them messaged her husband about Balmer’s comments during the evening then said he had gone too far and touched her inappropriately.
The women complained to police, who attended on the night. Officer body-worn footage showed that one of the women was upset when they got there.
The other was angry at first before she too became distressed.
Balmer was arrested the following morning.
In interview he said he did not remember the specifics of the conversations with the women but had no reason to dispute what they were saying.
He had no recollection of the alleged touching and denied the charges.
Giving evidence in court, he denied that any of his comments were sexualised or misogynistic, saying they were all ‘tongue in cheek’ and ‘banter’.
He had no previous convictions.
Summing up to the jurats before they retired to reach their verdicts, Judge Catherine Fooks said to reach a guilty verdict, they would have to be satisfied beyond all reasonable doubt that the touching was done intentionally and was sexually motivated.
Balmer will be sentenced in April when a probation report has been prepared and his conditional bail was extended until then.
He was made subject to notification requirements with immediate effect.
