Guernsey Electricity is opening its doors to the public this summer, offering islanders the chance to go behind the scenes at its power station on the Bridge.

It is the first time in a few years that the company has put on tours and it comes at a crucial time in its long history. With cost of living pressures persisting, it is juggling the immediate concerns of customers with the long-term strategies it hopes will secure the island’s electricity needs for decades to come.

Tony Curr joined CEO Alan Bates at its iconic blue home on Northside to talk about some of the challenges it is facing as well as the future it is forecasting.
