‘Lost in Nature’ allows visitors to immerse themselves in the natural world through art, sound and film, including a bespoke soundscape by local composer Flexagon and video by Ross Yeates from SkyWave Media.

‘Through a beautifully curated selection of artworks from our collections and the natural landscapes they depict, the exhibition invites visitors to slow down, engage and enjoy the restorative power of the natural world through sight, sound and film,’ said Helen Glencross, head of Culture & Heritage Services.

‘We are very pleased to have partnered with the HSC arts and health programme, and it is fantastic to see how this collaboration has inspired an exhibition that is not only visually compelling but also offers a positive and enriching experience.’

The exhibition also includes a self-led wellbeing walking guide, created in collaboration with Guernsey Trees for Life, which explores Candie Gardens.

The guide will be launched during Well-Geeking Week, taking place from 25-29 May.

‘The artworks on display come from our permanent collections and are inclusively curated alongside sound and video allowing the gallery to become a space that can be shaped by how visitors choose to experience it,’ said assistant curator Sophie Brehaut.

‘Lost in Nature invites you to slow down and reconnect with the natural world through the transportive power of art.’

Visitors during the May half term week will have the chance to take part in extra activities for all ages.

A schedule of events and activities will be released closer to the time on Guernsey Museum’s website and social media channels.

The Well-Geeking Week culminates in The Big Geekend Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May, a two-day celebration of quirky collections and unique interests.
