Shakira Naftel has been remanded for eight weeks by Judge Marc Davies before a scheduled committal hearing at the end of June to decide if the case should be heard by the Royal Court.
The court heard that an ambulance was called to a property in Victoria Avenue, St Sampson’s, at about 9am on Sunday due to concerns for Heidi Naftel. She was found with injuries and rushed to hospital. Later that day police said she was in a serious but stable condition.
Advocate Sam Maindonald, for Ms Naftel, did not oppose a remand in custody while police investigations continued.
