As a result, the total number of people travelling by air, for the year to date, went from a very modest increase at the end of March to a small decrease a month later.
During the first four months of the year the airport recorded 194,289 passenger movements, a drop of 381.

Aurigny’s Gatwick numbers held up well during the month but those on the London City route fell by 1,567 or 30%.
The island’s international routes saw mixed fortunes, with Paris continuing its pattern of steady growth.
Numbers are now up 12% for the year to date.
But Dublin saw a steep decline of 77% in passenger numbers.
