Castle Cornet will be open from 10am to 5pm, with the highlight of the day being the annual 21-gun salute performed by the volunteer gun crew at noon to mark the royal birthday.

Visitors to the Guernsey Museum at Candie, also open from 10am to 5pm, will be able to enjoy the museum’s permanent collections, as well as the current Lost in Nature exhibition, which features nature-inspired artworks, an immersive soundscape and a video installation.

For those eager to discover more of Guernsey’s rich heritage, Fort Grey will be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm, while the German Naval Signals HQ will welcome visitors from 10.30am to 3pm.

‘We look forward to welcoming visitors to our sites across the island on Saturday as they take advantage of free entry to explore and learn more about Guernsey’s heritage,’ said Helen Glencross, head of Culture & Heritage Services.

‘The gun salute is always a highlight of the year for both staff and visitors, and we are delighted to mark the King’s official birthday in this special way.’
