It is one of the newest A320 Neos in the airline’s fleet.
‘It was delivered to BA right at the end of August, so it’s only about six weeks old,’ said Guernsey Aero Club committee member Rob Le Page.
British Airways operates a daily lunchtime service between London Heathrow and Guernsey Airport and the aircraft registered G-TTSJ was used for the route.
‘It’s part of the daily service from Heathrow, sometimes it’s an A319 or some days it’s an A320,’ said Mr Le Page.
‘The A320 is a lot bigger than the A319. The A320 takes 180 seats and most days they use them they are full, and the A319 takes, I think, about 140 seats and most days they are near full too.’
