Guernsey emphasise their strength in depth
COMPETITION for places is set to be fierce when Guernsey host the Now Pensions EH Men's Trophy semi-final in less than three weeks.
The Sarnians overcame the absence of several influential players and deservedly beat Streetly 3-1 in Sunday's quarter-final to set up a last four meeting with Formby at Footes Lane.
Some of those absentees, including Zak Damarell, Josh Kendal and Andy Le Page, would be available for that tie on Sunday 23 March, but they will have to fight to regain their places in the squad.
'We have got some pretty big names coming back with the likes of Zak and Josh, but the people who have stepped in have done really well,' said Guernsey captain Andy Alford.
'We have just got a really strong squad now. We have some good kids coming through and the more experienced heads are still going strong.'
