Putintseva knocks Watson out of Japan Open
HEATHER WATSON is out of the Japan Open.

The British No. 1, who was the sixth seed for the event, was beaten 6-4, 7-5 today by the world No. 122 Yulia Putintseva in 1hr 51min. in the second round in Osaka.
Watson and partner Christina McHale are also out of the doubles having lost 6-4, 4-6, 10-4 to third seeds Lisa Raymond and Sam Stosur.
