Bad day all-round for Watson

JUST hours after learning she had dropped five places in the latest world rankings, Monday got even worse for Heather Watson as she was knocked out of the Dubai Tennis Championships.

It was a particularly disappointing result for the British number one, as she lost in straight sets 6-4, 7-5 to Kateryna Kozlova, the world No. 132 - some 89 places lower than the Sarnian.

Watson had won their only previous meeting in last year's French Open.
