Guernsey regain EH Men's Trophy
A FIVE-STAR second-half show saw Guernsey become only the third team to win the EH Trophy three times on Sunday afternoon.
After going into the interval locked at 2-2 with a talented and youthful Blackheath & Old Elthamians, the Sarnians turned on the style after the turnaround with a sublime team goal scored by Zak Damarell just 27 seconds into the second period proving the catalyst for this comprehensive victory.
From that moment, Andy Whalley's men did not look back and overwhelmed their opponents with slick and clinical counterattacking hockey while the defence held firm having learnt their lessons of the opening 35min.
Damarell scored twice with the other goals coming from Whalley, Sam Dawes, Josh Kendal, Steve Waldrom and Morgan Harries.
