Despite feeling that he dominated their British Challenge middleweight title bout on Saturday, the 37-year-old Guernseyman Duff was adjudged to have lost the fight.
The 78-76 scoreline decided by the referee – effectively meaning that Hoskin-Gomez won five rounds to three – has left Duff with a sour feeling.
'I lost the first round fair and square, I know that, but I definitely feel like I won all of the remaining seven rounds after that,' he explained yesterday.
