Healthspan has been announced as Giga’s official headline sponsor for the next three years, and as part of the agreement local athletes will benefit from expert sports nutrition through Healthspan Elite products, alongside exclusive access to performance guidance via their sports nutritionists.
‘This sponsorship goes beyond financial support, it’s about pride, opportunity, and community,’ said Giga chairman Jon Marley.
‘Healthspan understands what the Island Games mean to Guernsey, and we are thrilled to partner with a local Guernsey-based company which shares our passion for promoting and celebrating performance, wellbeing and local identity.’
The partnership will also see sponsorship towards sports kit, alongside merchandise support and a product allowance on Healthspan Elite with further details to be announced.
‘We’re incredibly proud to be backing Guernsey’s Island Games team,’ said Healthspan chief executive officer Martin Talbot.
‘These athletes are a true reflection of the island’s spirit and determination, and we are committed to helping them perform at their best – not just by providing world class, safe supplements that can give athletes the reassurance of being Informed Sport Certified, but by standing beside them as a Guernsey-based company that believes in their potential.’
Tatiana Tostevin, a member of the Guernsey swimming team, will be travelling to Orkney in July to represent her island.
‘It is a huge honour to be part of the Island Games,' she said.
'This opportunity goes beyond sport – it’s about proudly representing Guernsey and everything our community stands for,’ she said.
‘Having the support of a respected local company like Healthspan, with their expertise in world-class sports nutrition and performance, is incredibly valuable.
‘This partnership embodies the true Guernsey spirit – pride, dedication, and a strong sense of community.
'With Healthspan behind us, we’re empowered to train harder, recover smarter, and approach the Games with confidence, knowing our island is right there with us.’
