TOBYN HORTON and James McLaughlin will both be left out of Guernsey's cycling team for next summer's NatWest Island Games in Gotland.

The pair of professional riders – who ply their trade for Madison Genesis and Felbermayr–Simplon Wels respectively – both have busy schedules again in 2017 and it means that neither could yet commit to being able to compete in the Swedish island in the last week of June.
In both cases the duo would have had to make a final decision on their availability much closer to the time and with that in mind it has been mutually agreed with the Guernsey Velo Club that the pair will only be named as reserves, in case others pull out.
