Saints beat Rec to extend their lead
ST MARTIN'S unbeaten run in the 2021-22 FNB Priaulx League campaign now stands at 18 games after their 5-1 win over Vale Rec on Tuesday night.
The champions took the lead at Blanche Pierre Lane through a well-taken Ollie Smith goal on 32min. and doubled their advantage five minutes later through George Mason.
Vale Rec captain Glenn Le Tissier halved the deficit when he beat his Griffins cricket teammate Jason Martin from the penalty spot after Seb Skillen was fouled, but Dom Heaume restored the home side's two-goal cushion before half-time with a powerful volley.
Heaume netted his second after the interval before young sub Fin Du Port completed the scoring from a free-kick with virtually the last kick of the game.
