They came back from being 2-0 down at half-time.

‘I wasn’t happy with the first half,’ said Rovers manager Kevin Gillease.

‘We conceded a cheap goal, an error from us, and we ended up going into half time 2-0 down which we didn’t deserve really.’

Gillease added that weather conditions at Les Quennevais on Saturday hindered his side's performance in the first half.

‘The wind also played a big part, it made it really hard for us to get out,’ said Gillease.

Rovers scored from a penalty early in the second half, which got the ball rolling. Goals came from Robbie Legg, Tyler McKane, Luke Ogier and substitute George Clayton.

‘They imploded really and we took advantage of that, and ended up turning it around,’ said Gillease.

They will be back in action again tonight as they face North in the FNB Priaulx League.

‘It will be a good game, it’s classic for this league, you don’t play in 15 days and then get three in seven days,’ said Gillease.

‘It’s always good against North, I really couldn’t call it.

‘It’s always competitive, both teams like scoring goals and we have come away with successes at Northfield and come away with some batterings.’

Rovers will be without a few players from Saturday’s Wheway Cup squad. Martin Savident, Steffan Timms, Colton Fletcher and Harry Henderson are among the players who will be missing tonight.

‘We are four or five down from Saturday, but it is what it is,’ said Gillease.

‘We will go looking for the three points as we always do and hopefully come away having done what we had hoped to.’

North were also in Jersey but lost 3-0 defeat to St Clement in the Wheway Cup on Saturday. Darren Coyle netting a brace and Seaney McColgan scored the other, all in the first half.
