The multi-format competition involving academy sides from Hampshire and Surrey as well as the Guernsey men’s team got under way on a beautiful spring evening on Thursday when the hosts suffered a five-wicket T20 defeat to Hampshire at the KGV.

However, yesterday’s wet weather has forced the rest of the weekend’s schedule to be revised and the Island side will now contest all their matches over the shorter format with the two visitors facing off in the only remaining 50-over contest tomorrow at 10.30am.

Today there will be back-to-back T20 matches with Guernsey facing Hampshire in the first at 11am before the two academies go head-to-head at 3pm.

On Monday, Guernsey and Surrey will play two T20s, the first starting at 10.30am and the second at 2pm.
