CI finals set as Sarnians head to La Moye

The Guernsey junior and senior champions have discovered their opponents in this weekend’s Channel Islands Championships finals at La Moye after their Jersey counterparts were decided last weekend.

Noah Davy will take on Jacob Townsend, who beat Gabriel Ridgeway 4 & 3 in the Jersey final, for the U18 crown while Jeremy Phillips has the chance to make it back-to-back CI senior men’s titles having earned the right to face Guernsey’s Andrew Boyd by beating Simon Allchin 6 & 5.

Veronica Bougourd will meet Gloria Paradiso, who overcame Jane Bailey 1 up, in the senior women’s CI final.

The main events see Lewis Marley take on Sam Quail in the men’s showpiece match while Chloe Gaudion faces Melissa McMahon in the women’s equivalent.

The men’s, women’s and junior CI finals are over 36 holes, starting on Saturday and concluding on Sunday, while the senior matches are over 18 holes on Sunday.
