The siblings are set to make their senior representative debuts over the next couple of days, having been named by Island women’s manager Anna Gauvain in her 18-strong group.

‘Obviously they are technically very good, so it’ll be exciting for them to get some match time and see how they fare in the women’s game now,’ said Gauvain.

The triplets started training with the senior women’s team earlier this year after coming through the Mourant Girls Academy, as well as playing for St Martin’s and training with Zico Football Coaching.

The biennial competition is an opportunity for Guernsey’s women to lift some silverware and put their Muratti defeat behind them.

‘We’ve carried on training since the Muratti and I’ve got a few other girls available this time around, so it should be good,’ said Gauvain.

‘It’s almost like the end of season, but also won’t be long before the start of the new season, so it’s a bit in between, some tired legs around, but hopefully the excitement of the tournament will just be good fun and a good way to end the season, while we're also looking forward to starting again in August when we start our league campaign.’

Scarlett Gallagher and Steph Batiste return to the squad for the two-day tournament.

‘I think, obviously they’re going to be strong and physical, probably very similar to what we’re up against in the Muratti, so we’re preparing for that’ said Gauvain.

‘It would be nice to have that home support again, we missed that when we’re away in Jersey, so to have two games with a home crowd this weekend would be great.’

Due to the cancellation of Jersey’s scheduled flight to Guernsey on Friday morning, there has been a change to the semi-final schedule.

Guernsey will now face the Isle of Man in a 6pm kick-off, ahead of Jersey taking on the Isle of Wight at 8.45pm.

Tomorrow the losing semi-finalists will meet in the third place play-off before today’s winners meet in the final.
