The Guernsey star is part of a 27-strong group for an extended international break which will see the Three Lions play four Nations League fixtures.

England kick-off their campaign against world champions Spain at Wembley on Saturday 26 September, before facing Czechia and Croatia away and then Czechia again on home soil.

The news comes a day after the 23-year-old played a starring role as Bournemouth beat Real Sociedad on their debut in European competition.

He provided a brilliant assist for Rayan to score their second of the night as they won 2-1 to claim a famous victory in the Europa League.

Scott earned his first England call-up last November but did not get on the pitch on that occasion. He was also part of Tuchel’s pre-World Cup camp this summer.

He has continued to impress at Bournemouth and was the subject of intense transfer speculation ahead of the new season, with Chelsea among the clubs reported to have made an approach.
