She is suing him for £200,000.

Sophie Dorfner dislocated her knee in a trampoline accident in August 2004, when she was aged 16.

The Medical Specialist Group surgeon has denied negligence and has filed defences.

Miss Dorfner was operated on by another surgeon on the day of her accident and was discharged from hospital the next day.

She continued to suffer problems with her knee and in April 2005 she was referred to Mr Vhadra.

He urged the need for a specific type of surgery.

It is claimed that the exact nature of the procedure was not explained to Miss Dorfner and she had not been able to give informed consent before it was carried out.

Mr Vhadra has denied that.
