HMS Daring, the first of the Royal Navy's Type 45 air-defence destroyers, will arrive tomorrow and leave on Monday.
The ship's company have developed a strong relationship with people and organisations across the Bailiwick, from charities and schools to the Chamber of Commerce and are pleased to be returning.
'Daring is proud to be affiliated with Guernsey and, having visited the island several times in my tenure, I am delighted to be returning with the ship,' said commanding officer, Commander Phil Dennis MBE RN.
'We have, over the years, built up a fantastic rapport with the people and organisations and our affiliation is known far and wide.'
Daring will be at anchor off St Peter Port where she will host a reception and capability demonstration for 150 people tomorrow evening.
The ship, which last visited in 2012, will be open to the public on Saturday afternoon with the opportunity to tour Daring and get an insight into what life is like in the modern Royal Navy.
