Sir George, often referred to as the fifth Beatle, died on Tuesday aged 90 at his home in Wiltshire.
He bought a home on Braye Road in the mid-1980s after neighbours in the UK recommended the island to him.
He kept a powerboat moored in Braye Harbour and a Morris 1000 convertible.
Sir George visited Alderney for around 30 years, appreciating, said his friends, the peace and quiet and the fact that he could go about in relative anonymity.
