Pride of Guernsey - 'Her ready smile and energy is infectious to all around her'
THANKS to her innovative ideas and energy, PE teacher Tracy Hubert gives her pupils access to sports and activities that might not normally be available.
Her nominator said her outstanding work could be seen when she was first at St Sampson's High and then after she moved to Les Beaucamps High.
She is now assistant head teacher at Les Beaucamps.
'She is one of the most dutiful teachers I have come across, nothing stops her from making PE the heart of the school,' said her nominator for the Garenne-sponsored Teacher of the Year Award.
They added that Miss Hubert's innovative ideas mean pupils have access to some not normally seen sports and activities and this means many more pupils are active during lunchtimes and after school.
She is credited for having unbelievable communication skills and uses them to great effect.
'Added to this is her ready smile and energy, which is infectious to all around her.'
Miss Hubert is an outstanding teacher with outstanding moral values which the children see and emulate through their own actions.
