Police renew appeals in search for missing man
RENEWED appeals are being made for any information – no matter how seemingly insignificant – as the search for Steven Corbet enters the weekend.
The 58-year-old has not been seen since Monday and the police have said there is increasing concern for Steven's safety and wellbeing, urging the public to step forward with any clues.
An information point has been set up at Pleinmont car park, where officers can speak with regular visitors to the area, and it is expected to remain there this weekend for people to visit.
PC Gary Ashford was at Pleinmont yesterday and was handing out missing person posters to the public.
Mr Corbet was last seen getting off the number 94 bus at Portelet and is believed to have then walked in the direction of Pleinmont headland.
'There is no such thing as silly information and you should not think "I will not bother the police with that",' urged PC Ashford.
'If you have any information at all, please tell us.
'We will look at every single bit of information we get.'
Anyone with information is asked to call the police incident room on 719474.
