THE island’s telecommunication companies have given a broadly positive reception to the results of a survey by the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities which asked about landline, mobile and broadband satisfaction as well as service reliability and value for money.

Among the survey’s findings was that more than 80% of islanders were happy with their mobile services. (Steve Parsons/PA Wire)

Among the survey’s findings was that more than 80% of islanders were happy with their mobile services, although this figure is 10% lower than satisfaction levels in the UK.

Overall satisfaction levels for landline services were 79%, compared to 90% in the UK, and those for broadband were 61%, compared to a UK figure of 97%.

JT Group corporate affairs director Daragh McDermott said they would be carefully analysing the survey’s findings.

‘Any information which helps us to understand exactly what our customers want is useful, and we will add this to the independent, and already extensive, market research studies which we have commissioned every quarter for more than five years now,’ he said.
