Alderney stays in tune with Beaumont-Hague

AROUND 100 Alderney residents including 21 children travelled to Beaumont-Hague for the Cultural Exchange Twinning Weekend.

Among them were players in the Island Band, the Alderney Voices, members of the KFA dance group, artists and arts enthusiasts.

During the weekend the Quatre Vents Choir & Alderney Voices took part in a choral concert in Beaumont Church and 11 young Alderney dancers performed with the French dance team at the end of weekend concert in La Brêche, the theatre arena on the outskirts of Cherbourg.

The Cotentin Orchestra and Island Band members played together and local schools joined together to sing Pink Floyd’s Another Brick in the Wall as part of the finale.

Around 40 horticultural enthusiasts took a trip to Nacqueville Chateau to admire the beautiful gardens there.
