‘Foul-flooded properties to get priority over roads’

GUERNSEY WATER is to address areas that are prone to flooding as part of its new surface water strategy, it has said.

Following a deluge of rain last week, a number of areas, including Les Vauxbelets, flooded.

The utility said addressing flooding on the island as a whole was a priority.

However, it warned properties at risk of foul water flooding would be prioritised over roads at risk of surface water flooding.
