The issue was highlighted on social media two weeks ago.

The car park to the west of the Beach House sees vehicles parking against the sea wall and alongside the road, with a gap left for exiting.

However, sometimes a driver has parked in the gap, blocking vehicles from entering or leaving the car park.

A States of Guernsey spokesman confirmed the work to install the boulders to create the entrance was carried out last week.

‘[The work has been carried out ] To improve ease of access in and out of the car park,’ they said.

The improvement is permanent and cost £750.

Boulders have also been installed around the green hut kiosk, to provide a safer, car-free area for people queuing there.
