Hole appears in car park at Salerie Corner
A HOLE has appeared in Salerie Corner car park.
Traffic & Highway Services became aware of the problem yesterday afternoon and signs and lines staff have coned off the area.
The car park was created on reclaimed land in the 1980s and settlement over time can cause holes to appear.
It is monitored and holes regularly need to be dealt with.
In 2018 a topographical survey was carried out to get detailed levels of the surface of the car park to help monitor any subsidence. Some repairs were also carried out then.
