The equipment is now in use at the community hall in La Mare Road.
‘The donation from Condor has helped us update our sports kit, which the children have been enjoying – it has been very appreciated,’ said Vazon Elim youth leader Lois Batiste.
‘Our three clubs see four-year-olds up to secondary school-aged children attend so we are always keen to offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities for the youngsters to participate in and enjoy.’
The youth clubs at Vazon Elim have been supporting the community for more than 30 years and see about 100 local children attend the community hall every Friday evening.
Condor’s Community Fund was set up in 2019 to support islanders who give up their time to develop community activities.
The fund sees numerous applications each year from across the islands, with a focus on sustainability, local benefit and enjoyment for others.
‘We are delighted to be able to help Lois and the team of volunteers at Vazon Elim as they really do a great job in our local community,’ said Condor’s commercial director Greg Yeoman.
‘Hopefully the equipment will prove useful and enjoyable for many children over the coming years.’
