Taking place this Sunday Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday is a popular annual event celebrating the work of local animal charities, giving the public the chance to learn more about animal welfare, enjoy family-friendly activities and help raise vital funds.

The Animal Shelter is now looking for enthusiastic volunteers who would be willing to help by wearing one of the charity’s animal mascot costumes, helping to collect donations and spreading the message about caring for animals.

‘Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday is always a fantastic event and a great opportunity to engage with the community. Our animal mascots really help draw people in, especially families and children, and every donation collected helps us continue our work caring for animals in need.

‘If you can spare a few hours and don’t mind having some fun while supporting a good cause, we would love to hear from you,’ said GSPCA manager Steve Byrne.

People interested in volunteering as an animal mascot are asked to email steve@gspca.org.gg or head to the Crown Pier on Sunday to speak to a member of the GSPCA team.
