Daniel Turner, 39, pictured, was sentenced by the Royal Court on three charges, two for sexually touching a child and one of inciting a child to engage in sexual touching.
He was found guilty at trial by majority on the first two charges and unanimously on the third.
He had also admitted a fourth charge of cannabis possession.
‘What you did to your victim was appalling.
‘You have robbed her of her innocence,’ said Judge Catherine Fooks.
‘She is so young that the extent of the damage is yet to emerge and only a custodial sentence will do.’
Turner had previous convictions. He was sentenced to 15 months in prison in 2017 for causing criminal damage to a woman’s clothing, sending messages of a menacing character via the telecommunications network, using threatening behaviour towards the woman and indecent assault.
He was previously made subject to a sexual offenders prevention order, and had breached it in 2020, after which he served a further two months in prison.
