Morgenstrand II, the mothership, could be seen transferring cargo to two feeder vessels, Ampere and Peak Bordeaux.
The 88m-vessel Ampere had arrived from the south-west on Saturday afternoon and dropped anchor south of St Peter Port Harbour. It was joined the following day by 143m general cargo ship Morgenstord II, which had travelled from the Bay of Biscay and dropped anchor south of Brehon Tower, and the 90m Peak Bordeaux, which arrived from the direction of Dover Straight and dropped anchor between them.
All three vessels were scheduled to depart local waters last night and are believed to be bound for different destinations.
Guernsey Harbours supplied fenders to support the vessels while the cargo transfer took place.
